It is amazing how much children love the snow. Something happens to adults, actually something happened to me. I hate the snow. I have tried to take the guidance of my friend Uncle Louie and see winter as a period of "hibernation". I am trying. Trying so hard...it's not working. By this time of the year I want spring, flowers and to be able to hear birds. But this post isn't about me - it's about the Bean. After we recently had a big ole' snow, Matt took Ella outside to play. She just loved it. She came into the house with two bright red cherry cheeks with so much energy. And as she settled in to drinking some "warm" cocoa she told me all about the wonderful adventure her and a daddy had. She is so sweet and pure, able to find the joy in things like 25 degree winter days playing with her daddy in the snow.
