Ugh, Monday...

I go back to work on Monday. Now, having done this before with Ella I am confident that the world with not all apart nor am I going to harm the girls by going back to work. Hopefully I will provide a positive role model to them by working like my mom was for me. It will be nice to get into the routine again. We are so fortunate to have my mom caring for Brenna and I am excited for her to have the same loving environment that Ella had for the first year of her life. Ella will be returning to daycare which we sent her over this morning without any tears. I will be taking her over now...lord help me. Brenna is getting chubby :) and she is so beautiful. It was tough at first because Ella expressed her stress with behavior but luckily she is back to her sweeter self. It was so important for us to remember that it was because of the stress and it was not a personality issue! Having weathered this sibling storm, I am more confident in our family's ability to transition from phase to phase. It's tough to go back to work, I will miss my girls so and watching all of Ella's little shows etc. from day to day. It's difficult to describe unless you have experienced it. There can be an actual physical pain when Ella cries because she doesn't want to go to daycare or whatever the reason. That feeling is motherhood. Maybe parenthood but more specifically motherhood...that connection that we have to our babies. So here's to another transition...

Megan,
Everything will work out. You have two capable people watching the girls. I know that Allison is capable, but I would question me{only kidding}. You are a good Mother and teacher to those girls.

Good luck Meg. I can't believe that I didn't get out to see you over these last few weeks. Olivia had a horrible cold, now a respiratory thing going on. I'm bummed that we couldn't connect, but someday we'll meet again! They're both such little beauties! You are blessed and so are they. Sounds like they both have excellent caregivers!
