The Best Mother's Day Present...

We were up early in the Keller house today. So Ella and I went for an early morning walk around town. It was a beautiful morning and the town was still sleepy so it was quiet. We had a great walk, talking and discovering flowers and trees and birds (and barking dogs - which I am sure their owners loved at 8am). So we got back home and I gave Ella a bath in preparation for our day. After the bath, she was still warm and wrapped in her towel when she put her hands on both of my shoulders and patted them. I think it was her attempt to give a hug. Then she wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged! It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. She is so precious and such a gift to all of us but I feel especially blessed that we have the honor of living with life with her little spirit. We are so lucky. Needless to say, she started smacking me in the face and squealing in between hugs!
