My Scariest Moment Thus Far...

Had my first REAL scary Mommy moment this week. I had given Ella a small piece of apple to munch on during dinner. Suddenly she wasn't breathing and was turning red! My mom and dad were over since Matt was a work, and the three of us jumped up all at once, which I think scared the apple out of her. My dad lunged his finger into her mouth and pulled out that darn apple piece. Since I process things a bit differently than other people, it was so important to me that Ella was calm and okay. Of course, she was hysterical and threw up. I was fine though. It wasn't until after she went to bed that I cried a bit and called my mom to confirm that experience didn't make me a bad mommy! I hear this is only the beginning! ACK!
