Deliberate Actions...

Hello all! I have to tell you that I have been so amazed by some of Ella's actions as of late. I couldn't quite put my finger on why but I figured out it is the fact that she is doing more and more things with intentions. So, when she was "little" (ya know, younger than 4 1/2 months!) she was sort of spastic and just jolted about, trying to do things but now I can tell she is thinking about things and moving in response to them. I guess for some this is not much of a big deal but to a mom, to me, it is HUGE! Here are some of her latest and greatest... - She reaches for things that are held in front of her. This includes her toy that "aunt" Nikki gave her (one of her favorites) and her big bird doll. - She tries to sit up on her own! - She rubs her eyes...SO CUTE!! - She has learned what a bottle means, so when she sees it she opens her mouth... sometimes. - She is trying to master the whole cereal off the spoon theme. She was opening her mouth for a while but then decided it would be more effective if she stuck her tongue out when you are trying to put the cereal in. - She sticks her tongue out...as evidenced by the pictures! She is getting bigger and bigger everyday. She went for her second set of shots, which was awful to go through, for me of course! But she was a trooper though just like the last time. I still love coming home at the end of the day to her and waking up in the morning to her. And to add a wonderful husband to that mix is truly a blessing Life is good...life is very good...
