It is so hard to believe that 2 months have gone by since we had Ella. Time has gone so fast and my world has completely changed into this amazing day to day journey of discovery and wonder over Ella and our growing family...
Ella had her first Peds appt. yesterday which meant her first set of shots! Quickly I learned this is a stressful milestone for a mom as both my mom and my mother in law began supporting me prior to the actual day of the appt. When people start telling you ahead of time you know to hold on. Anyway, Ella did a great job and was so brave. She cried a lot during but afterwards she was brave and just slept the day away. This lead to Matt and mine's first long time of being up with her. Luckily Matt has coffee and I have daytime naps for the next week. (I keep telling him that this whole experience is going to turn me into a coffee drinker...the horror!) After yesterday I understand the whole mothering instinct a little bit more because I would have taken 20 of those shots for her if it meant she didn't get one of them. But we had to settle for the comfort of the binky and James Taylor to get her through.
Other than that, Ella has been changing and growing everyday. She has starting 'talking' which is the cutest thing I have ever seen. She moves her mouth and tongue like she really wants to tell the world her story but just can't get it right. Of course, we play along and she goes on and on.
Here is a picture of Ella "the shot aftermath" from this morning. I hope everyone is well.
Let's sit and share a spell. Life travels fast and has us moving fast right along with it...
